Could a dog this young have arthritis? Her parents were never checked for hip issues, so I am wondering if she has hip dysplasia(Sp?). Could she have problems this young? I can't ask our vet until tomorrow, so I thought I'd see if anyone had any experience.

I doubt it... but talk to your vet about it now because if it is hip displaysia they might be able to help it... you know they even have hydrotherapy for dogs and chiro's for dogs... bizarre.. I know some who tried it out and found it very effective.... as for the cracking sound... make sure your dog gets lots of H20 and exercise.. and don't worry too much... if it's not whining when it cracks don't worry... Your dog is still growing into his/her bones so it's likely for sounds to be emitting....
