I'm doing simply awful!!! I try every day to make changed, then I don't stick with it.

Those of you who are doing well, how do you do it? Do you have a well-stocked kitchen? A "cook" book? Are you just at the right time to make this change in your life?

Does it count if I have watched my MIL eat only raw food for the last week?

Maybe you are having a hard time because you are not getting adequate nutrition

DH & I haven't started our RAw challenge yet. I've been out of town

What worked for me in the past though was to really stock the house with raw foods. I mean really stock the house! A whole grocery cart of nothing but fruits & vegis. It was the having to go to the store every week to re-stock that threw me off. I'm not used to grocery shopping very often.

I also got a bunch of reusable containers & preped everything the minute we ot home from the store. That really helped because then when I was hungry I could eat right away.

Also, don't feel bad if you can't make 100% RAW every day. Aim for 75% at first and work up from there. I also noticed that I had an easier time eating RAW during the day & then having a SAD dinner.

I"m planning on keeping everyone informed when we do our RAW challenge. Not sure when that is going to happen though. We were planning it for right after the move & that keeps getting bumbed back too.

I'm not sure I'm understanding what you are saying.

Do you mean that a raw diet does not provide adequate nutrition? Or maybe I'm not rounding it out what raw foods I'm eating, thus I'm eating other stuff.

Can you please clarify this?

Well, I decided not to do it. I am reading some books: Healing With Whole Foods, The Body Ecology Diet right now. I am going to change what I eat a bit but not go raw. I don't think it's the right way to eat for me.

I meant that it is improtant to get in different types of veggies as well as raw nuts and some fruit to be adequately nourished.

My MIL also uses a green superfood to make sure she has gotten everything covered. As a bonus I get so energetic when using the green foods.

How large are the salads you are eating? I have never gone totally raw but when I was eating 80% raw the salads are so filling that I don't have much desire for too much else.

Sometimes after being strict for the first 3 days it isn't so bad anymore.

Good luck to you, my MIL is almost 70 and has an incredible amount of energy and looks great. She has been going raw for ages.

ok, thanks. I thought that's what you meant.

I think for me, I just like the cooked stuff too much!!! lol

I like yogurt, cheese, etc.

I think I'll start by having one meal be raw. Do that for a while, then add more.

Well, I'm ashamed to say I only lasted 2 weeks, then dh came home with pizza. LOL I gained back all of the weight plus some. I am going to try to start back, but I'm not doing 100% raw this time. I will at least have a cooked dinner. Hopefully I can manage a vegan gfcf dinner.

My endo symptoms were much better this month though.

Today I did really well.

I had a bag of fresh veggies, a banana and some other things.

I feel really good. Not overly stuffed or sluggish.
