I have written a housekeeping journal, very complete with day to day chores, daily chores, weekly chores, monthly chores, and a few times a year chores, plus addresses, finances, holiday organizing and more
This is a very awesome thing to help any mam especially struggling mamas keep up with their house and still have time for the important stuff.
I am calling the book "Fairy Clean House" It will have 8 tabs plus a pouch and can be added to by each person to customize to their personal needs.
What I need help with is a price. I was thinking between $35 to $40.
Is that too low? What do you think?
Please keep this bumped so I can get lots of ideas.

no pic yet I am in the final stages of writting it, I have about 5 or 6 pages left to write out of like 240 or so.
I will try to compile pictures and a better description in the next two weeks right now I was trying to see what kind of interest it would bring and what kind of price I should charge.

Is this for one generic year or will it also have dates in it?
I am interested in knowing more, but I am also very cheap :-)
Good luck, Christine

This is for the year 2005 I plan on making a new one each year, about half of the journal can carry over year to year but some of it needs to be replaced.
I plan on selling the entire thing this year and next year going forward I will offer it split up!!

I think the price sounds about right- maybe a little high but it also depends on quality of the product. I don't remember if you mentioned size or not.
Can you put me on a list of people to let know when you have more information and pictures available?
Thanks, Christine

Christine I will keep you posted and also the size of the journal is going to be 8 1/2 x 11 I want it full size so it can incorporate most anything, The smaller size may be more convienent to carry but it is harder to find the insides for it at a reasonable price.
I have decided to talk to a publisher about the book and see what he thinks, just preliminary stuff, but I will let you all know and he will also suggest a price I am thinking $35, but I will also adjust that price for next year when I only sell parts of the book rather than the whole thing (which I will make available as well.
Perhaps I can run an amity special (maybe $25-$30) so that I can get feedback and input, I will let you all know as soon as I hear back from this guy.

Sounds good. I have been thinking that putting quotes, and goddess pictures, and more powerful mama stuff in something like this would be great. Just a thought, but do you have any art or sayings in it?

Nothing yet! I have thought about quotes, but I haven't researched them yet.
As far as pictures I want a picture of a very pretty or pristine looking fairy. I can not draw so i would have to find another way. I did send the book to a publisher and told him those ideas I will wait and see what he says and see if he can help me come up with the quotes.
If anyone has any let me know I will start keeping a list.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think your typical mama could pay over $25 for it.
It sounds like a wonderful idea though, I bet its fantastic.:)

I pay $16.95 for mine each year. It is called WeMoon, and it is a goddess calander which has each of the pagan holidays on it and lots of wonderful goddess art. If it had a section for incoming and outgoing cash, and a larger section for notes, along with a little section each week with chores, and a place to write reminders for birthdays, etc, it would be the perfect book for me and I could gladly pay up wards of $20 to $25 for it. But most people with my lifestyle are not the organised... lmao... (READ: All my friend think I'm NUTS)

Yes, wemoon with some more organization would be WONDERFUL! :p
I started writing down my dreams in mine... perhaps a "dream journal" could be included?

I have a section called want list, perhaps I can formulate another page to put behind that section. Or in the day by day section there is a place for notes, with instructions to write down stuff like a journal. So I guess that could be used to.
This journal has 8 sections and is as thourough as I could possibly vision when I started it.
The tabs are:
~day by day -- 365 days of coaching
~Daily chores -- a complete daily chore list and blank lists for breaking up your day (morning, afternoon, evening, before bed)
~Weekly chores -- Detailed lists for each day of teh week, monday -baths, Tuesday-bedrooms, etc...
~Menu planning -- blank menu on one side for breakfast, lunch, dinner, 2 snacks and a dessert, back is a shopping list divided into sections
~ Finance section -- 2 pages each month, plus a pouch, 1 page is for bill paying(who do you owe how much is it paid) The other side is a dash flow worksheet so you can see how much money has gone out and how much came in, a good way to figure out a budget to eliminate debt and work towards goals
~address book -- Self explanatory
~want list -- I have three sheets 1 for you, 1 for spouse(so you have something to go by for gift giving time) and one for children
~Card/Gift section -- 3 sheets 1 for b-day/anniv. by month, another for christmas cards, and the last is for Christmas gifts.
~Plus a pouch that will be filled with all the things you say "I don't have one with me"
