Isabelle decided she needed a poncho so she picked through my yarn stash and I looked up a free pattern online.

I love this pattern...so super fast and easy.

I may need to make one for me. :)

So cute, I picked up some thread at Hobby Lobby to make a poncho for a friend of ours, I can't wait to start on it.

Ooh! I like that a lot! She looks so stinkin' cute in it too. I've been wanting to make one but I think I'd look like a big dork in it, and Lydia would not tolerate it having no sleeves. I've been telling her it's like a blanket that you wear, but she keeps saying, "but YOU can put sleeves on it."
Stinker.
Anyway, it's very cute! ;cool:

I'm thinking about making one like this for Mason...still trying to decide if it's manly enough. By my definition, yes, totally. But I don't want to take the time to make it and have dh veto it LOL!

Mason asked for one because dd has one. When I asked him what color he wants he said "grape" (purple lol) and "pink"...dh would definitely have a problem with that! LOL!

I was thinking gray or a foresty green or something...

I'm thinking about one for me...in minimizing black lol. I probably look like a big dork anyway. :p

Hi Danielle,
Poncho looks great. I'm going to print out the pattern now - my 4 year old daughter really would like one:)

Glad that your feeling better and can craft again!
Warm wishes,

it's weird but I can use a crochet hook as long as it's larger than a size H and it doesn't bother my hands too badly. I do have to make a point of not holding the hook too tightly. When I use a H or smaller my hands are numb within minutes.

But all the resting my hands have been doing seems to be helping. My hands aren't constantly swollen and painful...only when I overdo it.

My thyroid meds were recently adjusted (my levels were WAY off) and one of the symptoms of hypothyroidism is joint pain so I'm hoping as the new dose starts doing it's thing (takes a few weeks) my hand problems melt away. :) They are definitely a bit better than they were a week ago. :)

What about a brown one for Mason?

I actually picked up "grape" yarn for the one I am making and I have fun fur to make a fringe/border.

I started on it last night but I think I am going to have to make it bigger.
