Our insurance doesn't kick in till the first of October so I'm trying not to go to the doctor yet. He has a cold and his eye is all red and goupy and he couldn't open his eye this morning. He doesn't have the warning signs that I read about in my holilstic pediatrician book, so I assume I'm okay to wait until then? His skin all around his eye is very red too though. I'll take him in if I really need to. So far I'm just doing breastmilk in his eye every hour. Any other recommendations?

Thanks so much,
Cary

I've known people who cured pink eye with breast milk. As I recall my friend was able to clear it up in herself and the baby faster than the school age kids did on antibiotics. Don't know that your baby has the same thing, but it's worth a try.
