I got some fabric at Joann's a couple of weeks ago for 1/2 off the clearance price. :)
Yesterday I got a Stand Mixer complete with lots of extras for $40.00. I got a roll of foodsaver bags for $1.00. I don't have a foodsaver yet, but I WILL be buying one eventually:D
I got a FREE dollhouse when I was at the right place at the right time. It has extra staircases, wooden shingles (which I will not use, I will do asphault) Doors, and windows. It is just what I wanted for my dd and I to work on together over the years:heart:
Dh got free plywood to board our windows in the storm - from his dad.

What awsome thrifty finds!
Lately mine have all been food... food... food. I have gotten bushels of apples, tomatoes, potatoes, peaches, meat, and all sorts of assorted goodies for free lately. I even got a bunch of chantrelle mushrooms that I made into this killer pasta sauce. :D
I am waiting to see if the inheritance money is going to go through, because I am waiting to get a deal on a car. ;) I will let everyone know how that goes I am sure.

I wish I could get a deal on some food--even my own garden stinks this year. I planted so many tomatoes, and the weather hasn't been good to them....My neighbor has a peach tree and I called her a little too late. She brought me the last two peaches on her tree for Molly to eat, and said her boys had been shaking the tree and hitting them with bats...:( And there were lots of peaches on the tree...
Anyway, I did quite well yesterday and Friday at two church garage sales:
Four baskets for Christmas gifting .50
pajama pants for me .25
The Ungame game .25 (old, but a cooperative communication game--looks like fun!)
Bag full of clothes $2
size 8 (Killian is in size 6-7 right now, but I haven't much of a stash for him for when he grows into the next size)--all of these were in great condition!
1 pr. dress pants
1 pr. tan jeans
1 pr. jean shorts
2 Star Wars t-shirts (those get extra points)
2 long sleeved t-s
4 other t-shirts
1 t-shirt for me
1 long sleeved henley shirt for me
2 wooden puzzles (one awsome with US and capitals underneath the states--a lady at the sale said she just bought one for $12.50) .25!!!
TC Timber Noah's Ark set $1.50 ! I haven't figured out what I'm doing with this yet...
A big stack of books I'm saving for gifting to my boys or a rainy/snowy afternoon! $3

Today the boys and I went thrifting.
I got my halloween costume for $3.99 (Malifacent (sp)), Joshie's costume-Ninja, $3.00, dh's vampire cape $3.99. Still need to find Kyle's but we're doing good so far.
I got a hand made tea pot. It's perfect for one person to steep a few cups of tea.
Some books. And a stuffed penguin for Joshie's teacher for Christmas. Their class mascot is the penguin, hence the gift.
