Poor Pepper has fleas now. She hasn't had them before, or at least not that it made use notice.
I gave her a bath last night and got a bunch of fleas off of her, but there are still quite a few on her. How soon can I give her another bath?
If there any other way to get rid of fleas?
Pepper thanks you. :D
Besides using a flea shampoo (found at say, WalMart or a pet store), or perhaps getting a flea dip at a groomer or a prescription flea medicated shampoo from your vet....
I've heard using your regular dog shampoo with tea tree oil might help.
>>>Kills fleas instantly. Dawn dish washing liquid does the trick. Add a few drops to your dog's bath and shampoo the animal
thoroughly. Rinse well to avoid skin irritations. Goodbye fleas.<<<
Good luck!
Oh, if your dog has them, chances are they are in your home, too! EEKS!

Our flea recipe is this (no bathing involved :) )
Baking Soda
Tea Tree Essential Oil
Citronella Essential Oil
Peppermint Essential Oil
Rosemary Essential Oil
Lavender Essential Oil
I usually take an entire box of Baking Soda and put it in a dish. Then I put 10 drops of each EO on top of the Soda and mix really good.
Then, if you have a salt shaker or something else with holes on the top, put the soda mix in there and dust the dog.

I'm guessing you aren't trying to do this naturally, as you used a flea dip. Advantix, Advantage, and Biospot are all great product that are guarenteed to work! Our rescue uses Biospot on puppies and Advantage + on adults.
Also, if your dog is not on a heartworm preventative, you should have him/her checked. Fleas cause this.

Fleas do not cause heartworm, mosquitoes do.
And shampoos will work but leave behind no residual....so they kill what is on the dog but the household and yard ones hop right back on, as well as the ones that hid from the shampoo in her ears, face, etc. I'd recommend trying Becky's powder.....or consider something long lasting that kills fleas fast that hop on her. Advantage and Frontline are my picks, Biospot is one we don't carry in our office due to the number of side effects and risks. It's not as highly rated for safety as Advantage or Frontline. Both of those are about $35 for 3-4 months supply or some vets sell one month at a time for like $10-15 for those who can't buy the whole box. I have never had sucess with anything but using these, even the natural means don't work for me and don't seem to kill our fleas. I use Advantage and I swear you will never see a flea in my house.
