why not go ahead and scramble some of it & freeze it like that. then you have it ready to toss in chili, spaghetti, shepherds pie.....and it will take up less room in the freezer if space is an issue like it is here.....and of course you can make patties and freeze them to cook later.....

I usually have a big batch-cooking day. I would boil a ton of it, drain it and save it in meal size bags and freeze. Quick fixes for chili, sloppy joes, spaghetti etc.
Also -- add eggs, dry onion soup mix and make loaves of meatloaf, meatballs etc.
Just had to add some ideas to get you started!

I would freeze it raw in 1lb and 2lb increments. 1lb will do most recipes, including meatballs, and 2lb will do burgers. I don't like the taste of pre-cooked frozen hamburg. (not that I like hamburg anyway lol)
