I washed towels , forgot to put them in the dryer before i went to bed. Well, now they stink, I rewashed them, added fab softener to hide the smell, but still stink.

How do i get rid of the musty basement smell?

try washing on hot with a 1/2 cup of vinegar and maybe some baking soda. We have had that musty mildewy smell problem. Doesn't help that our washer and dryer are on the patio and it gets to 113 here. LOL. Can't forget laundry for more than half an hour. But the vinegar seems to help neutralize the smell. And then wash the washer with vinegar, run it through a cycle of hot water and vinegar with no clothes in it. HTH

how about some drops of tea tree oil?
