I posted this in the Special Needs forum for those of us gluten-free. But, everyone here might like it as well. I put all this in a big bowl or gallon ziploc and dish out for lunches as need.
Trail mix
1 cup peanuts
1 cup cashews
1 cup pecans
1 cup sliced almonds (I used 2 cups as my girls love almonds)
1 cup mini marshmallows
1 cup chocolate chips (we can't use M&Ms as a lot of recipes call for)
1 cup raisins (I used less as only one of my girls likes raisins)
Toss in bowl. Put lid on and toss. You can add 1 cup of any dried fruit but my girls weren't sure they'd like that. I would! I am considering adding some Reese's Pieces for color as it looks a little dull. edited to add: I would only use about 1/4 cup of these candies, just for color. But, I can't find out if they are gluten-free. I guess I have to call Hershey. Oh, and everything but the peanuts and marshmallows and chocolate chips was organic. I can't find dry-roasted organic SALTED peanuts. I can't find organic gluten-free dairy-free choco chips. Do they even make organic marshmallows?
