One of the local markets has red peppers on sale starting tomorrow for 50¢/lb. We use them quite a bit in cooking and I'd like to buy a ton and freeze them, since the lowest price I ever see them at around here is 99¢/lb. and I always thought that was a great deal.

Have you frozen them before? Should I freeze them raw, or do I need to blanch them?

Oh...and can I freeze peaches? They're on sale for 25¢/pound.

TIA!

I chop my pepper up, then flash freeze them, pack into ziploc's. Then when I need some just take out what I need. We love having them in the winter.

I just wash the peppers and stick them in a freezer bag whole. THey're really easy to cut when they are very slightly thawed.

For peaches I wash, slice, then flash freeze. They are so yummy in smoothies!
