cancelling all those book club memberships - Children's BOMC, The Good Cook BOMC, and HomeStyle BOMC. I actually still have another Home Style acct open that I need to buy 2 more books for but after that we are _DONE_. Since you can reply online we weren't ending up with books we didn't want, it's just that those silly catalogs just fueled my desire for more STUFF, ya know?

Now I just need to pick out 2 more home/gardening books and then I will be totally free of their silly commitments. Woo Hoo! It feels good to not be procrastinating so much anymore. :D

Ugh! The BOMC trap....I have been there several times myself. It's so tempting (6 books for $5!!!) and then when you call to cancel, they always say 'don't go, we love you so - we'll take you off the automatic shipment plan.' I usually cave in like a bad souffle. I'm down to two clubs right now: the QPB club which will not cancel my account despite two emails, and The Good Cook BOMC which I love dearly even though I have cookbooks to last a lifetime. Need to give myself a pep talk and cancel that one too.
