I just was watching this cooking show (LOL!!!! OMG Lauren they are BAD... stay away and beware... be very afraid!) And made this simple WONDERFUL salad.
Two kinds of lettuce... I used three (romaine, butter, and iceberg)
One can of kidney beans (rinsed, and drained)
1/4 lb of Salami and 1/4 lb slice of Provalone cheese cut into little cubes (ask the deli to slice you one REALLY thick slice... it makes the little cubes better)
a ceaser or a italian dressing
It is SO simple and SO good. I want one just thinking about it. I am making this with dinner tonight!
Anyone want to add simple GOOD recipes? I will add more later... Summer time heat we need recipes like this one. :D

Yummm!!!!! Sounds so good.
Here's mine, it is for super-simple smoothies, sorry for the crappy proportions, I always wing it:
2 cups of frozen berries (I use a mix of blueberry, strawberry, raspberry)
Low acid OJ (or regular)
Brown rice protein powder if you have it
Throw berries and powder in blender. Add OJ a little at a time and whiz blender on high in between. Add OJ until smoothie is desired consistency. You can leave it very thick, like sorbet, or sweeter and thinner.

Where do you find butter lettuce? I love butter lettuce but can only find it in a bagged salad.

Here is one for cookies:
1 box cake mix
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs
1 cup chunks (like choc chips, nuts, pb chips, butterscotch chips, you get the idea)
Mix it all (it is stiff) and put balls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. YUM!
Here are some of our favorite combos:
Dark choc cake with chopped up Hershey bars
Devils food with choc and pb chips
Choc cake with white choc chips
Yellow cake with choc chips
