Homeschooling mamas, I need your help. I'm reading The Well Trained Mind Book and thoroughly enjoying it. But, the company doesn't have it's own cirriculum. It simply refers you to lots of different resources to put together your own classical educational cirriculum based on the structure outlined in the book. I guess what I'd like to know is, have any of you found a classical cirriculum, with Latin and all the other classical stuff that you like? I would really like to know the names of a few to look into. I don't know if I'm up for picking and choosing between other resources to form a coherent whole myself- I may want to pick something that has done that for me. Thanks loads.
Confused,
Shrinkmama

Alternative Learning (http://www.amitymama.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=26)
We don't use a classical approach, but you might want to ask the mama's on the alternative learning board.
Good luck :)

There are a couple of packaged curriculums that I have heard classical people talk about- Calvert is the only one I can think of right now. You could check on the message boards at www.welltrainedmind.com. They have great discussions and you can post without registering or anything.

One other tidbit........www.overstock.com has some of the book listed in The Well Trained Mind: Usborne & Kingfisher. They have them for the least expensive around.
Also, I can vouch for A Beka Language and Math which they recommend. It is sometimes a great deal of work, but your kids are well versed when they are done with the workbooks.
Best wishes on your journey. :D

I just wanted to second the idea of hanging out on the WellTrainedMind forum. You'll discover all sorts of spins people put on classical ed there. There's a For Sale board, too.
Many of the books mentioned in WTM are available through Rainbow Resource.
