My USB (i think that is it, it's a small port on front of my Dell) cord is shredded - the kids have slammed the puter door on it and I think it's gone) - so I am trying to use another cord that came with my Kodak DC3400. It's the one that plugs into the back of the puter - I think the Com port? Anyway, I have it int here and the thing won't connect to my puter - anyone got any suggestions???

It's probably a serial port cable.

Thanks! I was actually over it this morning - for some reason, this cable just won't work. I am hoping I can find another USB cable in town somewhere....
