We have a ceiling fan in most every room of our house, and have them on most of the time, in the evenings, instead of running the air conditioner.

Tonight our living room fan started making lots of noise, so I got a bit nervous, and turned it off.

Dh got up on a ladder and checked it.

1 of the screws had fallen out of a blade, and the other one was loose.

Thank God I turned it off, it could have killed one of the kids, or done some serious damage had it come all the way off.

Dh went through and checked all the other fans, and 2 more had 'loose' screws.

PLEASE, if you have ceiling fans, make sure you check your screws every so often.

Wow! Scary!

Maybe it is something we can do when we change clocks -- like we check smoke detector batteries.
