I've got my list in front of me ~ I wont put names to the items, b/c there may be lurkers!! ;)
* cross-stitch applique'd purse; x-stitching is halfway done and takes me a really long time (hence starting in July!)
* 2 decorative pillows with Sewzanne's kanji iron-ons for someone's home who is decorated in a similar style
* wool pullover for dad
* pj's (nice pointelle knit jersey)
* fleece sweater for DH
* matching pj bottoms for all of us (got the fabric for it last week. DH is gonna wear teddybears and love it, darnit!!!)
* teddybear (never made one!) for friend's daughter
* "retro" style purses for the fashion mavens in my life
I'm sure I'll also be making some fleece scarves/hats/mitts, gift baskets, etc... These are usually done kinda last minute (you know, October-ish..haha)
I want to see other ideas too, my list is far from complete!

pin up tropical lady/man print aprons for my BIL & sister
Jammies for mom
Boxers for Dad
Maybe some dress up clothes for dd...
Simple clothing for dd's friends
Going to start my list here and edit as I think of things.
Mom/Dad: cloth napkins
Aunt J: pajamas
Sam: more dressup stuff, teepee (didn't get around to it last year :( )

A teepee! I've got to make one of those! My kids would go nuts. Great idea. I don't have much of a list yet. Everything that I could think to make for people, I made last year, lol! One thing I want to do is to make blackberry jam and maybe apple butter too. When I was making the fabric gift bags for the swap, I thought the jars would look cute in a little drawstring bag like that.
:hahaha:  :tears:
nothing for anyone i don't live with. not one thing i made last year was well received so I'm done. I'm kinda pissy about this because I made my bil pj pants and told hm if they don't fit, return them and Ill mail a check - well pants came back this week. umm 6 months later.
my family...hmm considering lots
fleece will be heavily involved. my dh has been begging for more fleece stuff.

For dd, ds and my two nieces I'm making animal shaped floor pillows (Simplicity 8932).
Ds is also getting a wood stable (homemade) with the wooden paint animals (buying those), not sure what else yet. Probably a wood train set. Dh also wants a framed print from the 2001 World Series for him (he was born in 2001).
Dd is getting a wood dollhouse, yoga garden game and an American Girl doll so far.
We're making a wood kitchen for the two of them together.
My mom is getting a quilt with lighthouse batik squares and possibly a Waldorf style nativity scene from Danielle's craft n show last year (well, for my mom and dad together).
My dad and my brother are getting bible covers.
SIL, step-sister and older nieces (20-ish) are getting wool felt checkbook covers.
Nephew and BIL I have no idea.
Step-daughter probably jammies and an asian style shirt.
Not sure about dh, my grandma and my inlaws.

Oh my gosh! Are you serious that he *JUST* sent you back the pants?!?! How freaking rude!! This hits a sensitive spot for me because I have been feeling lately that my homemade gifts have not been appreciated. :(
Sorry - I am hijacking the Christmas thread. LOL! We don't do Christmas so I just watch the rest of you stress out while I relax. ;) :p

We have no choice in the matter in my family. My mom got on a kick a few years ago and decided we were all too materialistic and she'd had it with us just running out and buying whatever we saw first for each other and she wanted some gosh darn old-fashioned Christmas spirit and she wanted it *now* so we are forever sentenced to making everyone at least one homemade gift.
We all pretend to be all put out having to make stuff and there have been many many gifts finished up on Christmas Eve night while we are all watching White Christmas but I'll secretly admit to only you guys that it really has been a blast! Total PITB before I started sewing but it's fun now!

well I always have good intentions but i have a problem with follow through...
I'd like to make robes for my FIL and MIL
a quilt and pillows for SIL
a quilt for my grandmother
fleece pullovers for my father and uncles
trendy purses for my aunt and cousins
simple dolls and clothes for the middle three kids
taggie and activity books for the baby
pj for my oldest
I'd really like to sew something for my dh but he doesn't like boxers, doesn't wear pjs and could care less about just about anything other than his computer
ETA: a stolen idea LOL
table cloth and napkins for dh's grandmother.
oh I think the grandparents would also like the mosaic like magnets Shalon made with pics of the kids

I'm trying to be completely realistic this year, last year was too stressful for me :p
so, for Gracie: a waldorf doll, and some jammies (her birthday is in november, we'll make a bigger deal out of that and make Christmas more about the celebration of our Saviour's birth)
DH: jammies (Gracie, DH and I will all have matching jammies) I'm not sure what else
me :p : jammies, and maybe a dress?
I'm not so sure about making stuff for DH's siblings, I know they don't have the money to buy gifts for us either, so it might just be easier to say "gifts for the kids only". His sister has 5 kids, 3 live with her and 2 with their dad.
anyway, I'll send the two that live with their dad gift cards to somewhere. We never get to see them, so I have no idea on sizes and such, but I want them to know that we still think about them.
for my nephew and 2 nieces that I do see, I'll make them matching jammies and the girls will get a dress and the boy will get a camp shirt
DH's gramma: probably a lace tablecloth (I will buy this, not make it....she's very old fashioned and loves table clothes LOL) and maybe make her a practical daily one with cloth napkins
that's all I've got figured out so far, but I'll def. watch this thread for ideas :D

Woohoo I found an idea to steal already! :D I'm thinkin my BIL and nephew need some jammie pants this year. Not sure if they make plus size patterns for guys though and BIL is a BIG dude. Maybe just for my nephew....hmmm....
i'm a big fan of gifts for kids only. I'm also a big fan of at least one homemade gift. makes it more fun IMO. One year my dh made me a coffee table. No he's not crafty, just went to homedept and got a good idea.
dd is getting a big feltboard from us. I need to get on the ball with this because I figure all the felt pieces will be a major pain to cut out the night before.

We have bought most of the store bought things we are getting the boys already (I still want to get the kidkraft mixer set and a few things for Colin's birthday which is 6 days till Christmas).
As for homemade we will be making a few joint gifts for the boys: A set of playstands with canopies, maybe a treehouse and some doll house dolls. My Nana is having her brother make them a barn so I'll need to make them some animals for the barn. And probably some odd playfood, though that seems to get found out while I'm making it and they get stolen (I'll never get any made to sell, LOL). And possibly some dress up clothes.
(we will most likely do a toy purge right before Christmas so there will be plenty of room).
Don't know if I'll make anything for dh. If I do, it will be some short sleeved camp shirts.
I'd really like this to be a no gift for adults year with Dh's brothers but it probably won't be, LOL. I never know what to buy or make them.
BIL and SIL I will probably make a bunch of cloth napkins. Or some matching kitchen aprons, oven mitts and pot holders.
BIL (the other one, LOL) well I have no idea because he lives alone in a small apartment so probably some cloth napkins. I'm tired of making and putting together romantic stuff hoping he'll actually use it when/if he ever dates someone (hey I tried).
MIL haven't decided yet but I was thinking of some stuff for her table, like a table runner and some placemats and napkins
Neice a cd holder and probably a matching purse. Heck maybe a few purses, LOL.
Nephew (so excited about this, BIL's first biochild and he'll be a whole month old at Christmas) a taggie type blanket and some onesies or some other cloth toys (like a knotty doll and a crocheted square block).
Dh's Aunt (his mother and aunt are twins so we always do this) is getting a set of homemade knitting needles in a case with stitch markers.
My Nana and Pawpaw will get cloth napkins most likely and maybe a bag full of cloth bags for gift giving.
My Mom and dad will get something store bought because they generally don't appreciate anything else, but I'm really trying to think of something they will like.
Don't know past that. I know I'll be making stuff for dh's cousin's kids (the grandchildren of dh's aunt that is his mother's twin, ROFLMAO, sounds like one of those weird stories huh). I'm thinking it will be dress up clothes for the boys since they are older and clothes for the girls since they are younger.

my parents: corn relish (need to get this made right now while corn is in season), one of those jigsaw puzzle mats you can use to roll up and store jigsaw puzzles (found directions for this in one of those online organized-Christmas websites)
Mom's birthday: knit and felted a purse, will sew on beaded design
nephews 1&2: knitted ski bands in school colors, using pattern from
Knit Hats. It's a double-knitted pattern. I was going to make socks, but decided this was easier. Not sure what to do with the sock yarn I just bought, though.
neice 1: knit and felt purse in school colors with FunFur around the top
nephew 3: something that involves camoflauge fleece, since he's obsessed with camo-wear
neice 2: something that involves horses
I'd like to make some jewelry, then make little bags to put it in (browsing through a book about Omiyage right now that has beautiful handsewn bags). I'm not sure who I'd give these to, though.

I would like to make:
Mom, MIL, Dad's girlfriend, Sisters, Sister in laws, Grandmas, etc. - fabric bowls with homemade ornaments in them. Maybe just balls covered with seeds, or maybe some special ornaments - not sure yet.
Mom, Sisters and Grandma (in addition)- tote bags. I think they would all appreciate them if I picked out cool fabric for each one.
Men in the family... no clue
Austin - not sure
Nathan - no clue
Adam - wooden castle with bendy dolls and wool felt animals
Lauren - wooden doll house and furniture and bendy doll family
DH - no clue... thinking about just buying him a scroll saw because he really wants one. But I might get it for him for his birthday so we can use it to make all the Christmas presents
