This week I got a Beautiful vintage juicer and I'm getting an awesome oak hutch for my entertainment system. It's like 6 feet high and has the doors that swing open and push back in it. Ohhh it's gonna look good in my Living room and I can lock the kiddos out of the VCR LOL

When I was looking on ebay I saw that juicer I got is going for between $70-100, makes me really wonder if I really need it ;)hmmmm

VERY cool! I have a nearby woman who e-mailed me saying she's got this HUGE fabric stash she's willing to part with because she is no longer sewing, and would I like it. ROFL! I almost peed my pants! OF COURSE! LOL I told her I'd gratefully take whatever she's willing to part with! (and for anything that's not woven...fleece, knit, etc, another local AM mama will want them!).

WOOHOO! Can't wait to hear back from her so we can meet. :) It'll help that we may not have to pay huge duckies for fabrics to make the twin quilts I'm making to sell to raise $ for Mason's training, yk?

Gotta love Freecycle!

Please, think twice before selling the juicer. There was recently a big brouhaha on one of the freecycle lists I am on about his very thing. Two members were removed for selling items they had picked up on the list. To me, it just shows a complete lack of respect for the whole idea behind freecycling. If you do not need the juicer, freecycle it to someone who can use it.

I don't think she plans to sell it I think she was just looking up what kind she got.

We got a bunch of stuff this week freecycling, too. Actually the big thing we got was free from a lady in dh's office who is moving this week. We got a REALLY NICE oak computer desk with hutch. It's office quality!

From the list I got 2 hammocks - one from Thailand and the other from Inia. Both were handmade and the woman bought them when she was travelling abroad. We also got a sack of wiffle balls for the kids.

A couple of weeks ago we got the kittens.

I have given away bedding, a bed frame, box spring, toys, coffee table, etc.

You can then do a search to find a group in your area.

And ftr, if you plan to get stuff and re-sell it, you have to post when you say so in your *Wanted* post to the list/forums of your areas group. NOT that was what you were doing, Charlotte, but just a big of freecycle info for ya.

It is definitely looked down upon. When I posted I was ISO fabrics and for what reason (making quilts to sell to raise $ for Mason's training) I made sure to say that the quilts would be sold. :)

I posted a response on some fabric, and a lady who responded after me just assumed it would go to her:mad: I am still waiting for the person who listed it to contact me:(

I've gotten a child's school desk and a box of table linens (table runners, table cloths, and napkins). I almost forgot, last week I got about a dozen tomato cages.

I have given unscented incense sticks (17,000), and I have a box of soap making things that I need to get ready for FedEx. Incidentally, it is going to a mama from here. She was the first to respond to my freecycle post.

I've seen a bunch of great things in Richmond but I haven't posted an "offer" yet so I missed out. I need to get my butt in gear so I don't miss out anymore! I'm thinking about starting a group closer to us.
