You can do it, all CDing means is an extra load of laundry, put them in to soak while you make dinner, wash them while you eat, dry over night and you are ready the next day...

Disposables take almost as much effort but cost so much more, you have to go to the store to buy them, make a poop bomb carry it to the pail empty the pail, on the occations the pail gets put on the back burner you have to deal with the smell and take it outside hope the neighborhood dogs dont get into your garbage... if that happens the amount of work just continues.

You'll only have 2 in dipes or only 1 if Cody potty trains between now and then right? That shouldn't be a problem at all. You can do that for sure. This from a mama currently cd'ing 2 babies and 1 toddler. ;)

I've found it helps to use fleece liners so the cloth diapers don't feel as wet as quickly in case I can't get to change them right away. I just make my own fleece liners by cutting no pill microfleece. No need to sew.

You can do it!! Danielle was 2 1/2 when the baby was born, she was still in diapers at night, but was pretty much trained during the day. Jessica has been in cloth from the start. It really is only a matter of an extra load of laundry every other day or so. It doesn't take any more time - the older kids can even help you by bringing diapers to you, wetting wipes, etc. Danielle likes to "help" me fold them, although usually she just steals all the wipes and runs away with them LOL

You can do it!! I have a customer who has 2 sets of twins all in diapers! They were born 15 months apart! I'm in awe of her and I know it must be hard, but she is proof that it is possible. Besides when you have more kids you need to make your dollars really stretch and what better way to do it than using cloth? It's better for the earth, better for your baby, and you can resell them when you are finished so you almost diaper for free!

I found cloth diapering a newborn to be a heck of a lot easier than cloth diapering a toddler because of the poop.. . you don't have to dunk for newborns, just rinse and wash in the washer. Get some reliable covers that can be washed and dried and you're good to go. I can't wait to get into our new house with a reliable septic so I can cloth diaper again. (I will be cloth diapering my 2 yo and 12 week old). Not to mention I have *never* had a smell problem with the diaper pail using cloth and the darn diaper genie stinks to high heaven.
