View Full Version : Help I have login problems. Margaret?
Since last night everytime I move anywhere at Amitys I have to login again. Like I'm in and then I open a post and I can't see the attachment because I'm not logged in and then I login and then I go to post and then I have to login again, etc. I thought something was wrong with my computer but now I'm at work and it's doing the same thing. I'm not having any problems with any other site I visit.
Any idea what's wrong? TIA!

That sounds so frustrating! Both your accounts look OK from here - you've got "Browse boards with cookies" enabled in your profile... have you checked that cookies are enabled in your web browser? Have you tried deleting/clearing out cookies? If that doesn't help, try contacting JoShea, who runs the site - she may be able to suggest something else. Or maybe someone else here has suggestions... bumping...

No changes to the server that would cause a problem with this site, but you may want to check with the website admins, since we do not handle the website software unless it is a server-related issue. i.e. I don't know if Amity has upgraded the forum software or have changed any settings in the last day or two.
I'll throw a few ideas out, though; no idea if it matters or not...
Have you made any changes to your home computer's browser or firewall setting?
Margaret, what do you mean by "Both your accounts look OK" - if she has more than one account, perhaps the cookies are getting confused? I don't know the innards of this software, without spending hours reading the script, I don't know what the programmers are using cookies for.
Have you tried logging off completely then returning? Is it possible that your diskspace or cookie store is full, so it cannot resave the cookie as you move through the site?

All I meant was that both Kori's and Suzi's accounts look OK - not that either of them have duplicate accounts. :)

Hi Stephanie!
I try to approve new users every 2-3 days, but am running behind right now. Will try to get them done before the end of today, and then she should be able to read and post!
and feel free to PM or email me with questions, or post them in the "Amity mama how-to forum" which I check on a regular basis. of course, asking here usually works too, but I'm not guaranteed to see it. :)
Thanks!
Margaret
Thanks for responding :). It's deffinately not a problem on my end as I'm trying now from the 4th computer and still having the same problem. Very frustrating, ready to give up. If you don't see me around for a while you know why :(.
