What are some good resources for inspiration? What can you make other than bracelets and necklaces?

I was thinking about spool-knitting some wire, then coiling it to make...something...what? Freeform sculpture? Mesh bowls?

Also, anyone use any other non-yarns for knitting and crocheting?

You could crochet a basket - mayb find a hat pattern you like??

I've never knitted/crocheted with wire...sounds not fun to me. Do you use a really fine gauge or something?
