anyone done this? i have my pp account left over from mamamiah.com, but hate paying fees (and charging them to others to cover) when it's all for personal use.

Did you figure out how to change it from business to personal? If so, would you share that? I have been trying to figure it out!

to upgrade go to your personal account and log in...there should be a link to the left that says UPGRADE ACCOUNT, follow the prompts and thats it ! :D

To downgrade to a Personal account, click here (https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_contact-submit&flow=default&opt1=def) . Log into your business account and choose 'My Account Profile' and 'Downgrade Account' as the Topic and Subtopic for your message. If I recall correctly, they only let you downgrade once.

when you do go form business to personal, i think they let you switch just one time only.

the fees aren't soo bad if you have the PayPal debit card....they're about 1/2 of regular merchant processors.

Why don't you just open a second account?
That's what we did... matter of fact, I opened up a "dummy" savings account, with the minimum my bank allowed, just to open a 'personal' paypal account.

That way most of my transactions aren't charged a fee, only the ones that I accept via CC.

yeah, you just have to tell them why you want to and they tell you you can only do it once. i hated all those fees.

hey...I downgraded from biz to personal and my debit card still works. It has even expired and been replaced since then. :)

i checked out the loss of debit card usage-and their info states that you can only have the card if you have a premier or business account-so that is so weird, lol

i think i'm going to attach my new checking account (not joint, but my own) to paypal & just open another one using another email addy. just didn't wanna have to start my trnx history over, lol
