I was thinking...
My kids love playing with dollhouses. But they (mostly ds) can be hard on the contents of the house. Once upon a time we had a whole house full of furniture...not so much anymore.
I don't want to purchase new rooms of furniture. And the more I think about it I know I can make stuff for it. I'm thinking sofa and chair from felt...or scrap fabric even. Sculpey/fimo clay could be used to make lamps, food, kitchen stuff, toys for the playroom, bathroom "furniture"...kitchen chairs even. Papier mache... popsicle sticks... twig/branch furniture.... crocheted/knitted area rugs and bed coverings.... felt rugs...
The more I think about it the more I think it even sounds fun.
Does anyone else have a half empty dollhouse?
Whatcha think about a swap?

My kiddos are getting a mommy and daddy made dollhouse for Christmas this year. I can crochet something. I can even "try" my hand at making some branch furniture.

what a cool idea! We don't have a dollhouse yet, but are planning to get one for Lauren for either Christmas or her birthday.

Hmmm...let's see...we have no living room furniture whatsoever, and all the bedding disappeared several years ago, so I'd like to do it.
But, otoh, 4yo Stephanie may decide you all NEED her to paint rocking horses for your dollhouses, lol. I'm not quite sure y'all are ready for this.:)

OH, this would be great! Ds may be getting a little tree house for Christmas so he will need some stuff for that. I have no idea what I'll make. LOL

Inspirational moments:
I was looking through the latest issue of Martha Stewart Kids at the store and saw an adirondack chair made out of popsicle sticks.
Also, we have Nicky Epstein's Knitting for Barbie and Crochet for Barbie right now (hey, we were in that section of the library, the covers are HOT PINK with BARBIE on them -- we HAD to check them out) and there are some nice ideas in them, like a teeny crocheted ripple afghan and a rug made out of i-cord.

So are we making this a swap? If so what are the rules. Can you tell I want to swap, LOL.
