sooooo, has anyone else ever attempted to string pony beads on drinking straws? I just spent the last 5 minutes attempting to do this...and I can even get one to go on. I'm pretty sure kids would NOT be able to do this!!! There has to be something easier to put them on because this is just frustrating!!!

Pipe cleaners? What do you think of that as a substitute for straws? I gave my 2 year old a cup of pony beads and a pipecleaner and she had no problem at all stringing them on there.

I did this activity for the first swap and I used pipe cleaners instead of straws! :) good luck!
