What do you think of them? I have a set on the way.:juggle:
We got a set from a teacher friend who found some "buy one set, get one set free" or something deal. We're not using them right now, but they're in a place where Daniel (3.75) can get to them and they need to be MOVED. They end up ALL over and then Nicholas (12 mos) puts them in his mouth. I'm not sure they're exactly chokeable, but they fit in his mouth well, and he likes walking around with things in his mouth
i've seen them used to practice one-to-one correspondence, patterning, measuring, etc. They also make pattern cards and a plastic grid to use with them. Daniel mostly builds towers... and then smashes them.
A google search turned up several ideas.
The multi-fix (link?) cubes are really neat too. They can link together on all sides so your construction can go into 3-D.

ummm... I have them and we love them for patterning, simple adding and subtracting, and all sorts of other uses.
We also have and love: pattern blocks, multilink cubes, base 10 blocks (a must for place value), cuisenairre rods, 1" wooden cubes, colored counting disks, colored tiles, spinners... I LOVE math manipulatives. :)

We used unifix cubes all the time in my kindergarten class. The kids really loved them. We did a lot of patterning and early addition with them!
