Frost over? hmm.. Is that the word or term !I think not but it is all crystal ice all over the inside and I am just not sure why.
I have a small freezer I bought about 18 months ago and the only other time it has frosted over (whatever) is when the door was left open just a bit. Well the door wasn't open so i have no clue
The freezer doesn't have much in it, could that do it? It has been great til now. Do I need to throw everything out? Most was packaged great and looks fine but I am worried this meant it somehow lowered in temp and then froze again making the food no longer good?
Ideas?
I should call my mom lol! Some times I act like I just got married and started a family

TIA!

hmm--not totally sure, but freezers do need to be defrosted every once in awhile--18 months is probably about the time it needs to be done! LOL

Even if they don't have ice or frost in them? This happened like in a couple days  Normally it has no ice of anything just super cold! LOL!

I had a freezer that did the same thing, and within a week it was dead....I think its the dying wish of every freezer to be full of ice before its last frost... I dunno!

It's a good thing our home owners insur. covers the freezer lol!
I will keep an eye on her then!

Our freezer gets frost build up when it is really humid out. The more often we open the door the worse it gets as well. Generally, since our freezer is "frost free" it goes away on its own when the humidity in the air decreases and/or we are better about not opening the freezer door for a couple days.

We have also had times when we have been sure that the door was closed but there has been something stuck in the gasket. That could also let in enough warm air/moisture to frost things up without defrosting everything.

Hope your freezer recovers soon so you can stop worrying!!

Are you sure there is no crack/break in the seal? If even just a little air is getting in there, it will cause the frost.

I will check the seal. and the gasket. hmm.. To make matters worse DD left the door open so now it's worse

Thank you mamas!
