I picked up the white wool/rayon 35/65 felt at Joanns and Sebastian and I are trying to dye it green to make some robin hood dress up hats. I have it in a dye bath but now I am not sure if I should go the rayon route and add soda ash or go the wool route and heat and add vinegar. Who has done it before? What did you do?

I do soda ash... there is more rayon than wool in it... it works lovely for me, but I never do solid colors, cause you can buy them :) I just do variegated colors and it comes out a bit heathery.
