Does anyone here have a store they run their business out of? If so, can you tell me the steps how to get started?

I want to start a tanning bed salon & video store, with the occasional set outs of moms candles, my handpainted items & gently used clothes of Ambers.

TIA

Don't have a B&M store....but as to your idea of tanning and video...I think you would do better these days with a tanning spray salon type thing. The "California Tan" style spray booths have been doing better business lately. People are more aware of skin cancer via the tanning booths and opting for a safer tan.

Thanks Hindy.... I'm not sure that would work out in my redneck backwoods area I live in. But, then again, it might just be a hit, kwim? And I'd do better than the actual bed places... Something to think about & research... I knew I posted here for a reason ;) Thanks again

Angela -

Here's a great web resource - has a lot of topics about starting a new business - also, has a forum to post ideas etc ... (has info on grants etc, too)

You might also want to check into the nearest SBA (small business association). They often can help guide you thru the process.
