ooh...I wasn't planning on doing this one bc I thought I wouldn't have time. Didn't realize it wasn't til August. :D I'm in!
What do you celebrate? Christmas in a Christian/birth of Jesus sort of way. We decorate pretty simply for Christmas. We also decorate for winter (in a much more gaudy fashion lol) after Christmas with characters such as Jack Frost, fairies, King Winter, etc. We also touch on St. Nicholas Day.
Things you like Angels, stars...your basic nativity/advent fare...things that are simple yet meaningful. I"m still working on making our nativity set and collecting things to use with the book "The Light in the Lantern". for winter we decorate in blues, icy shimmery fabrics, glittery sparklies, silver. white.
Things you do not like. Primary red and green (prefer forest green and cranberry red...more natural tones)...department store Santa image, etc
Do you like scents?yes
If so what scents? spicy earthy scents...cinnamon, clove, pine, citrus, nutmeg, etc....frankincense/mhyrr (sp?) would be awesome as there is the obvious religious link. :)

would you all be interested in candles??? I can make some candle sets :)
What do you celebrate?
Christmas- We are Christians
Things you like
Anything to decorate the mantle, the bay window, our front porch, etc. We do the Santa aspect and snowment, gingerbreadmen, father christmas, etc. We'd love wooden carved items or built, but really anything
Things you do not like. I don't like bright red and green, more hunter and burgundy and not really into the blue and silver.
Do you like scents? yep
If so what scents? prefer essential oils, but some fragrance is okay as long as its not overpowering. Cinnamon, Fir, Cookies and Bread baking- anything that smells like christmas and snow

What do you celebrate? Well, we technically celebrate Christmas, because that's what we're used to, but we're not Christian so it's not religious in any way... I'm learning more and am hoping to get more and more earth based/solsticy (is that even a word? LOL)
Things you like - I'd love non-Christmas winter type stuff... whatever you use to help you celebrate the winter season is great with us :) I prefer muted colors.. ice blue, hunter, cranberry, etc. (like most others so far, I'm not a big fan of the bright red and bright green)
Things you do not like - Christian items.. not that there is anything *wrong* with them, they just are meaningless to us. (The kids do have a fisher price nativity for what it's worth, but the "fairy" [angel] that goes on the top is often replaced with Santa.. or even the donkey - LOL)
Do you like scents? yes, if not overpowering.
If so what scents? for winter, spicy type scents... things cooking, cider mulling... nature type scents are always good as well.
I'd be happy to be matched with several people as well... I need new stuff :)

Maybe you could put a link into the original thread or perhaps pm some of the mamas that originally said they were interested? I know this one was kinda hard to find and realize it addressed the original Christmas in July swap and was the place to sign up. Jm2c

bringing up the rear :p
What do you celebrate? We celebrate Christmas, both religiously and Santa. I do an all Santa themed tree so the majority of my decorations around the house are red and green. We have nativity sets that we put up, also. I also keep a Nature Table, so we'll have a fall, winter ones. We kinda celebrate Halloween, but are moving more towards celebrating harvest time. I don't put up Halloween decorations.
Things you like I love things gor my nature table, dolls, fairies, fruits and veggies, animals, ect. I love beeswax candles. My decorating style is pretty simple.
Things you do not like. I don't like sparkly things, that's pretty much the only thing that I can thinnk of off the top of my head.
Do you like scents?
If so what scents? I love essential oils, anything except pure patchouli, sandalwood or vanilla, I do like patchouli mixed with other scents. I like lavender, citrus and spicy scents.
I'd like to be paired up with 2 or 3 mamas.

What do you celebrate? everything
Things you like. anything cute and pretty
Things you do not like.n/a
Do you like scents? most scents
If so what scents?anything earthy and fruity
What do you celebrate?
We celebrate Christmas and Solstice. Decorations range from religious to Santas and snowmen, to nature items. Our Santas are more Father Christmas out in the woods than department store Santas.
Things you like
I love ornaments that are nature related. (Some I have that are like that are topiary ornaments, "garden angel" ornament, that kind of thing.) Snowmen. Muted colors.
Things you do not like.
Hmm. I have trouble imagining anyone in this group doing something I wouldn't like! <wracking brain here> Well, I'm not into plastic at all.
Do you like scents?
I do, but they have to be subtle, light.
If so what scents?
Nature is always good, as are holiday baking smells (ginger, cinnamon).
Someone mentioned candles - We can never have too many here in the winter.
Something to go on the walls would be nice (not necessary). It just occurred to me I don't have anything to go on my walls.
