I thought this would be an interesting challenge for this weekend. Clean off your computer. I am currently going through our favorites file and cleaning it off. Then I am going to go through what I have saved on the hard drive and clean off files I don't need and photos that I have duplicates of.
Anyone else want to join in?

The last time I did this it took 7 hours! LOL! I have to wait to have that kind of time until after Don is home more... it should be just a few weeks.... but I think it is a wonderful idea! I will get to it as soon as I can.

Cool
i have already sort of started that *G* .. i took all the pictures of the kids and animals that i had taken with my digital camera and saved them on cd's ..i also did the same with other files from school or what ever else i needed to keep .. although i seperated them into topics.... i made 3 copies of each topic .. incase one gets scratched. One for everyday use, one to save in a cd case, and another one at the back of the pack of 50 Cds.. so it will not be touched and there for will be safe... i also marked what they were on the CD with a perminate marker.
I soooo need to take some of the pics to get them printed on to glossy paper and start a physical Scrapbooked album  maybe after i finish all the other things i have going on *lol*
Ohh and for my digital pictures .. i make files for each event.. and name and date them... then i try to describe the picture .. or what was said or what ever in the pictures name.. that way when i go back i could scrapbook for them .. or if i never get around to it i still have all of that information .. also something else you could do is in each event file you could have a document describing what took place, who was there, and what ever else you would want to comment on. .. I have been trying to keep that all organized .. because i am a picture nut *lol*
I love to take lots of pictures of our animals ... because the first few cats i ever had when i was little i have very few pictures to remember them .. and to me our animals are part of our family .. and i like to have rememberances. Now with my fiances children i like to take pictures when i can because they are growing soooo fast and do such goofy stuff *lol*

Well this has been a good project for me to work on today, all three of the boys are sick so they want to be held and about all I have gotten done is to work at the computer.
I have finished cleaning out our internet favorites. Dh still has to clean out his favorites but I did file everything in the folders.
I have been working on our photos. We had a bunch of duplicates so I think I got all of them off. I also got all my clothes photos into one folder for ebay and listing here. I still need to organize the other photos on the computer in files to print.

What a pain! I think I finished cleaning off the photos on the computer. I put them all in the same master file and then broke them down into events or categories. I also deleted all the duplicates.
I still need to go through the files on Word and clean them out and I need to have dh clean off the extra junk he has saved on here too.
