So much negativity :shake: People getting ripped off, lied to... surely there are NICE people out there who do nice things.

***I don't want this to turn into a popularity contest, so please don't name any names...but if someone has done something positive for you lately, here or "IRL", let us know. ***

I could use a burst of mushygushyhappyhappy vibes. I need to start focusing on the positive, I've become really sceptical and suspicious of people, and ya know, that just ain't good for the soul.

I'll start:

 a sweet sweet mama here who doesn't even know me that well, upon hearing I was having financial trouble offered me an expensive item, FFS, to help me out. I mean, the gesture was just beyond nice. You know who you are, love ya!:smooch:

i can add. i just received an order today that was from a wahm here. i spent all of $3 and had to use cc paypal, so i'm sure there were fees, and she even included a pen in w/ my order. i was so shocked. i felt badly using cc funded paypal and almost added a little to the amt to begin w/, but pushed send to quick and forgot to change it. thanks mama!!

I had a supersweet mama from here send me some much needed fabric as a gift recently even after I offered to swap her. I'm still touched!

To be honest, every mama here I've dealt with has been really nice. When I bought fabric scraps there were extra thrown in, when I bought soap there was extra thrown in, when I bought a really cute messenger bag there were extras thrown in... really sweet.

It was thanks to the advice of a mama here that I bought the sewing machine I did and I really love it too. :)

*edited to add* I almost forgot about my very first trade here. I traded another mama my KK Fleece Pouch for a bunch of different items including products from her store. Again, she tossed in extras and I LOVED everything she sent.

I didn't want to forget her too. ;)

Here's the love: It was brought to AW's attention a few days ago that a mama has a very sick baby. You mamas have been so very generous with your prayers, and support and auctions & donations, for a woman most of you have never met. All of you who have in any way donated to or prayed for little Levi & his family are truly wonderful!

Oh gosh, there are so much to list! I have come to know such wonderful people on here -- some mamas sent me surprise packages, whenever I placed an order, I always see cute freebies, etc. A mama went out of her way and made custom-made jammies for my kids after I vented out that they take their jammies off, diapers off, etc... and I was in tears out of frustration. She was quick to sew jammies and I  them -- definitely a life saver!

Another mama sent me a package filled with SOCKS -- gosh, how thoughtful was that? She must have known how many pairs I go through a day, lol... her kindness has touched me!

And lastly, another mama sent me an ADORABLE sweet outfit for my dd out of Hawaiian prints as a SURPRISE for my dd! I was literally in tears as I just  it and it looks gorgeous on my dd! (and mama, I have been meaning to take pics, but I can't find the battery charger... sigh) It looks beautiful on her!

Gee, there are just so many... I've been on the receiving end of such lovely gifts and I love sending surprise gifts as well! Every mamas on here are special...

Thank you OP for starting this! :)

I know, I was just looking through all the auctions. I love how we all pull together when needed...

a very sweet mama sent me a box of things recently - she said she was decluttering, BUT she included a NEW container of Gail's Dream Cream, in my very favorite scent too! :smooch: you know who you are!

Every now and then a well known quality wahm sends me something out of the blue and it is usually when I'm having a crummy day/week.

Someone here was decluttering and sent me such a wonderful package of wahm goodies: soy candles and a lovely EO blend and soap. She never asked for money for shipping even.

One amitymama sent me napkins and dishtowels again wouldn't accept shipping $$. Another amitymama sent me GD comics again wouldn't accept shipping $$.

Several have offered their phone numbers and I've talked to three I've never met in person. There's been so much emotional support both public and private I've received I'll be forever grateful for.

There is much more I know I'm forgetting. But if you've ever done anything for me just because I want you to feel appreciated and loved. So please know that you are!

When I was ready to have Lazlo last summer, I posted here that I was really nervous and needed prayers and thoughts. I had to have a planned repeat c/section due to a very messed up, abnormally shaped uterus, so *knowing* that the very next morning I was going in for surgery was very unsettling...even w/the excitement of getting a new little one. Many mamas replied w/thoughts and prayers and one mama said she would like a candle for me in the morning. For some reason, it just meant so much to me. It really made a difference, just knowing that someone (who didn't know me) cared and was sitting in her house...far away from me...lighting a candle. sniff...sniff

Here's another one: I've got IRL amitymama friends! That's the best gift. I'm so lucky.

So many people online here showed so much support when I was going through my tough pregnancy with the girls and while they were in the NICU. Many sent things to me for the girls, things to cheer me up on bedrest or gave me things FFS.

I was sent soaps, tea, logic puzzles while I was on bedrest. Another mama took contributions & raised $ here and surprised me with enough $ to pay for several weeks of daycare while I was on complete bedrest.

Someone sent me preemie outfits while the girls were in the NICU, several mamas sent me baby clothes and diapers FFS for the twins or just free as a RAOK. I've been sent nursing nightgowns, bras, and milk storage bags from the swap from the heart. You all know who you are and thank you!

One mama met up with my mom in Maine and gave her things to bring out to me. Another mama bought 2 beautiful sets of matching Carters cotton dresses for my twins and mailed them. A very generous mama paid for Megan of Patchwork Pixie to make my girls matching dresses and stayed annoymous - Thank you!

Plus I know many other people prayed for us and sent message of support over the past few month. I've seen the love here in action for sure. I'll be paying things forward for a long, long time.

A sweet well-known WAHM here sent a set of 7 cloth pads for my DD who just started her period...and she wouldn't accept any payment, even for shipping.

Another sweetie pie, who was decluttering ;) sent me a box of goodies that included a Chicken Soup book, some yummy WAHM soaps, and even some things to laugh about (you know who you are and what it was!LOL!).

And, last but not least, I feel the love with so many of the PMs I receive when I am going through difficult times...people who just 'pick me up' when I feel like I am falling.
