My best friends daughter drowned yesterday at her SIL's house! They were having a big cook out and the little girl just slipped into the water before anyone noticed. She didnt jump in, she just slid in. They didnt notice her missing until her BIL saw her floating in the pool!! When they pulled her out, she was already blue! The FIL was the first to her and started CPR. He is trained in CPR and later made the comment that he didnt really think she was ever coming to, but he just couldnt stop! Finally she did come to. My best friend called 3 times and couldnt get through to 911!!! She handed the phone to her neice to keep calling while she went to pray for her daughter!!

They lifeflighted her and kept her over night. We wont find out until later this morning what the effects from last night have been.

Please pray for her daughter and the family! Everyone in the family is blaming themself for the drowning. I talked to my best friend and told her that she might need to reassure everyone that it wasnt their fault and that it was just something that happened and they all should just learn the lesson from it.

After they arrived to the ER and everything was taken care of, the security guard was talking to my best friend and said that they had 2 children to drown over the weekend....a 2yo and 1yo!

******UPDATED!!*****
I did finally get to talk to my friend today. Things were crazy for them yesterday and they didnt get to call (they live away from me or I would have been there). The little girl got to come home from the hospital yesterday. She still showed some water in her lungs, but the xray was soooo much improved that they told her the little girls body was either absorbing it well, or it was being coughed out. The little girl does remember going into the water but insists that her grandfather (who wasnt around the pool with her at the time) took her in. She said that she kept looking for someone to help her but no one would help. She doesnt actually mention if she remembers feeling herself drown. Hopefully she was spared that memory!! All in all she is doing great. She isnt scared of the water.....and asked when she could go swimming again!!!

There doesnt seem to be any brain damage for the time that she was out or any other effects!!!

Thank the LORD!! Thanks to everyone for their kind thoughts and most of all for your PRAYERS!! It worked a miracle!
