I have Toymaking with Children, and would like to try to make a knotty doll (pg 68). I don't have woll, flannel or silk, but have some hemp called something like terry knit hemp, or french terry hemp, am I making any sense, cuz I am LOST!! Anyway, would that work or should I stick to the directions??

just about anything would work, you could even use a hankie!

i made some knotty dolls a couple of years ago from tie dyed cotton jersey (think t shirt fabric) and they came out great.

i'd guess the hemp that you have will work spectacularly :D
