Is there any way to retrieve the pictures on there? It worked for a while and now the camera won't even turn on with it in there. DH tried to retrieve the pics by putting the card in the computer and it won't read it. Are they lost forever? Am I out the $$$ I spent for the card? It's a Transcend Compact Flash 64 MB card.

Nikki, did you ever get an answer for this? I'm wondering if you tried bringing the card to someplace like CVS, which has a do-your-own-prints-from-memory-cards-and-CDs? It doesn't sound good though. But even if you can't get the pictures off, perhaps you can re-format the card so you can use it again.

No Margaret, I never figured it out. the card is still sitting here on the computer desk waiting for me to do something with it. LOL! Next time I go to Osco I'll take it with me and see if I can get my pics.

On my camera, there's a "Camera Setup" option that I spin the dial to, and then I can click down the menu until I get to "Format" and select it. When I bought a new memory card recently, I thought it didn't work at first... but then I formatted it, and all was fine. But don't reformat it until you're sure you can't get off the pictures that are already there!
