Ok, so I let Maya plant this little tiny bed with carrots radishes & some spinach, but then these other plants starting cropping up and I don't know what she planted, lol. I don't think they are weeds, though I have been wrong before, lol.
Anyone know?

That is what I thought at first, then I realized that there were spinach plants growing next to these, lol. Could I get two radically different spinach types from one envelope?
Oh, and the spinach looks like this, well, only younger

It is too big to be basil, and we neglected to buy any herb garden seeds. Man this is gonna drive me nuts for a few more weeks, lol

zinnias?
What did you have planted in that bed last year that might have self-seeded?

There wasn't anything planted there last year. Well, there was this great big ugly bush/plant thing, and a really really overgrown rosebush- it went up to the roof! Anyway, we cut out the bush, and cut the rose bush down to the ground so we could regrow it in a more controlled manner. But the bed was never raked out, probably for years, lol, so there was tons of great dirt & organic matter in there, and is growing my little patch of veggies really well. It is fairly small, probably 2x3 feet.
I am hoping they aren't zinnias though, lol, I want veggies! But, ya know what, there was a packet of flower plants, and they could have been zinnias. Oh, they are hairy, if that helps any.
