We rented this last weekend, and really enjoyed it. It is goofy & isn't (I assume) a realistic depiction of life in a large family. However, it had very positive messages about the choices we make in life & how they affect our families.

Ashton Kutcher is hilarious in it, too. :joker:

I honestly have to say

I didn't like it at all!

I like Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt (kept me going til the end)

but the kids were meanspirited to each other and others and unruly and the parents were totally letting them get away with it.

One child in the family, nicknamed 'Fed Ex' was treated rudely for the whole movie with no parental help at all!

Yuck!

I thought the parents dropping their dreams (which looked do-able to me) because their kids were pouting about it and sabotaging their endeavors to reach them was pitiful.

They could just as easily of been great, loving parents and have their professional dreams met!

We watched it as I had memories of watching the original eons ago (cant really remember anything about the original now except that it was nothing like this one!) & we really disliked it.

This movie bears absolutely no resemblance to the original book/movie, which was based on a real family.

As a mother of an already large family that may reach those proportions (we're QF), I found it really offensive.
