I am having a really rotten experience with them. :D In a nutshell, they seem to have lost my laptop in the process of replacing the hard drive. (and I'll gladly eat my words if they find it, but it's been gone since April 4  )
So... the tech manager at that store is no help.
The store manager is no help.
I called the general number 1-800-COMPUSA and it's been disconnected.
Do any of you computer or customer service guru's have any ideas of how to get in touch with a higher-up? I'm writing letters, too, of course, but I NEED to talk to a knowledgeable human being. (If such a thing exists in their management..... ugh....)

I won't go into my details, but basically the sales rep lied and it cost me $300+ even though I read and followed every bit of fine print on their reciept, return policy and all that. I refuse to set foot in their store.
That said, they did fix my Toshiba, eventually, under the TAP repair plan I paid a small fortune for. So at least that was great!
Here's what I can find -- these aren't really the right numbers but maybe someone at them can help?
Dial a Tech - 1-877-777-TECH
877-520-TECH
I have a copy of the store directory, too, if that might help at all? I dunno.
I checked the website, I'm sure you did too, and nothing there.
If you have a CompUSA card, you could try those #s or I can get them for you.

CompUSA card service # - 1-888-367-4310
If you bought the warranty on your cc, call your cc - they may be able to help you get the right #. You'd be surprised how many complaints there are against CompUSA (and how many class action lawsuits! ) and frequently cc companies have the best #s handy to get in touch with the departments that can DO something.
Also, start the process of reporting it to the BBB that deals with the area of the store you bought it from. Because you have a specific action you want taken you may have luck getting it through that path.
Try your state's attorney general - one of their jobs is consumer protection and they can at least offer some advice and point you in the right direction of who to call.
Will add more if I think of anything else...
Edited again to add --
I know it's not a return, but the # to call for a return authorization is 1-800-653-3831
And here's the # for the corporate office (thank you www.switchboard.com)
Compusa Coporate Office
14951 Dallas Pkwy

I hope this helps somehow!!
