THinking of cutting costs and thought about using one of those free internet companies. Do you use them and are they good?

You can get 10 hours a month free with Netzero, but you gotta deal with lots of popups, and after you use all your 10 hours for the month you are cut off till next month. I use PeoplePC and they only charge me 10.95 month with unlimited surfing.

I have been with netzero since 1999. It was completely free back then, they changed it so your were allowed 40 hours a month and now its only 10 hours a month. for unlimited surfing it's $9.95 a month. for a hi speed dial up it's 14.95. with the free service you can not use an outside email client like outlook express you have to go to their website to access your mail (as of june 1 anyway). with the other service you can you the email client.

You can also keep the free service and pay $.83 cent a month and use an outside email client.

they have several options take a look at netzero.net or netzero.com.

I had AOL free trial for 3 months and had a hard time with getting on and also would get dropped more often than with netzero. I have not had any problems getting on with netzero except when they had gone down for some sort of major upgrade a couple years ago.

I have access4less.net and it is 5.95 a month and it is awesome. It is unlimited and I always get in and never get bumped and it almost always connects me at the fastest speed for my modem (50.6, very occaisionally it will connect slower, but I just redial, it only takes like 20 seconds to connect usually, very fast).
I love it a TRILLION BILLION time more than AOL.
They also have a new high speed service for 8.95/mo.
