I just finished Chocolat. It was an interesting read. Yep I saw the movie first and the storyline is BARELY the same. I was wondering if anyone out there read any of Joanne Harris's other books? Are they worth a read?

haven't read any other books by her. but do you like the movie or book better? i found them so different, but equally good, that i can like both. i'm usually a book preferer.

Well they were so different I find it hard to compare them. I like them both for different reasons. But I didn't like either one more than the other. I saw the movie first so I thought I'd give the book a try. The movie is VERY loosely based on the book. I'm surprised they could even use the same title, LOL. Okay it wasn't that off but still. When I read the book I couldn't believe that they had added a whole new character for the movie. Um, where did that come from. Oh well, they are both good.

I thought the same thing about them using the same title. LOL
