My mom used to get this Magazine called the Kitchen Gardener... I remember even as a kid I loved it... well I saw some in the library last week, and got some. I wanted to subscribe to it, but alass, they are not making anymore.

Here is a place to get back orders though. It is SUCH a great magazine... it talks about everything from pests to how to prune tomatos to get the best harvest, and it has recipies for every plant that it highlights... even weird ones I had never heard of, and things like gooseberries. They have whole articles dedicated to the best edible flowers, and how to stuff tomatos... how to get the most potatoes and how to grow cord with only 5 yards of space. It is JUST GREAT! lol... Check it out... it is worth it. I want to see if I can't make myself a little book of the articles like TWG did... they are in that exact format and I just love it! (With the tips first, articles inside, and a few little bits at the end that are just fun to read.) Anyway:

I used to get that magazine. I was so mad when they stopped printing them. They really are great, I found them right before they stopped printing. Mine are packed away right now because we are selling our house.
