Okay, so it's got a little growing and some cleaning up to do, but it's going to be SO nice when I'm done!

You can see pics here:
http://www.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=67b0de21b372c078657e&notag=1

Pic #1 is of my *blueprints* for the garden areas....what's planted where, how many, etc.

Pic #2 is of my patio and back door. In the corner between our house and the townhouse next door is a WICKED tall lavendar plant....it's been babied since last summer. : The ONLY one that survived!

Pic #3 is of my storage bins, our back yard trash can. The green bin actually has 20 strawberry plants in it. I imagine they'll totally take over the entire bin and cascade down the sides a bit when they've grown in a bit. Already some flowers on a few of them!

Pic #4 shows you a teeny bit of our *river bed*, and 2 butterfly bushes, one on each side of the river bed. Also shows you my gardening supplies.

Pic #5 shows you my entire veggie/herb bed. It goes along 3/4 of the right hand fence and the entire back fencce wall (so about 50 square feet?). 8 tomato plants, 40 green bean plants, 8 cukes, 24 pea plants, 32 carrots, 32 onions, and various herbs/spices.

Pic #6 The bottom left hand corner of the pic is our sunflower garden...planted around 15 or so of them. Will make great shade for our AC unit (which can cut cooling costs by up to 10% in hot summers!)

#7 Telephone pole with flowers surrounding it. Many are bulbs and seeds and haven't come up yet. Sand box is under the blue tarp. Recycled old tires to make a great play space....kids can crawl through, between, on, around them. And dig in the middle. You see the middle of the river bed and a teeny make-shift bridge for Justin.

#8 New view of tires and kiddie pool, river bed and bridge.

#9 At the base of our satellite stand (it's a tiny dish but HUGE stand) Justin planted some green bean seeds. Not sure if they'll come up, but boy, he sure did love planting them and singing "grow grow grow" like on Oobi!

#10 River bed going down the side yard and leading to "pond" in the corner.

#11 Pond in the corner. Keeps pretty much moist all the time. Hoping to be able to go to the woods soon and dig up some ferns to plant right along the inside rim.

You see LOTS of chicken wire fencing. Why? Cuz Justin and the 2 dogs will tear everything up....(I know this from last year). But when the plants/veggies start growing, they'll grow THROUGH the fencing and it'll be practically invisible!

So, from a plain, uneven yard to a fun place for both Justin and I to be!

Hoping to get at least a swing (we saw one at WM that is a 3 seater, and also the back folds down to make it a bed...sort of like a hammock). THEN we'll be cool.

Please bless our garden and send "grow grow grow" thoughts/vibes. I worked my buns off....more than 30- hours went into it so far. I'd hate to lose anything!
