I like advertising here at Amity's, but I'm interested in other places too. Where do you like to advertise, and why?

Thanks!

I advertise on any forum that I am on that allows personal advertising. I host my own forums so obviously I allow it there. I also paid to have the siggy line on Mothering.com I will also do link exchanges with other WAHM. I did do banner exchanges for awhile, but it just got to be too many banners. I also do donation advertising, like I donated a sling to mommychats.com for their upgrade and I will be donating a sling to a babyfest for a raffle.

My main source of advertising is Google AdWorks, that is also my most expensive. I also advertise here and many other boards for WAHM's, but to be honest I can't remember them all! YIKES!

I get good responses from banner ads at One Stop Diaper Shop & Top Kitty/all the Kitty stuff. I got nothing from advertising at Diaper Hyena (duh, I don't do diapers). I also have wonderful response from my banner that's in the links section of Freshies. I also just started advertising at Natural Family Online & Waldorf Homeschoolers.

I have a few print ads running during the summer. One is the API newsletter & one is a local free parenting mag. We'll see how that goes.

I justify my advetising money by spending it at places that I like & I would want to support even if I wasn't running a business. Makes me feel good even if I don't get sales & hits from the ads.

That is exactly why I bought a lifetime ad spot here at Amity's. :)

I think this is a good mindset, and I'll keep that in mind as I look for other places to advertise, too.
