Tell me it's not so...
Our dryer all of a sudden has stopped getting heat to it. It works otherwise..
Any mamas know anything about dryers??

Does it work otherwise? Just no heat? Like still turning and all, just with no heat? If so........
I vote for one of two things......either the heating element itself....or the fuse. You can repair both yourself......fuses are like $10 and the heating element is around $30......((ask me how I know....))

dito, either the fuse or the heating element. We had our dryer die, it was the heating element. DH got a diagram off the web for our brand & fixed it himself. The worst part was having to pull the dryer away from the wall (yuck!)

Check you hose or the outside vent. It could be clogged. That's the first thing I check & that's what it usually is. Twice it was birds!! YIKES!

We had to replace our heating element...TWICE now...it was about $80 w/labor each time. The repair guy warned me after the first time to not use the bendable tubing running from the dryer to the outside vent...I didn't listen and we burned out the element again. The second time we bought the alum. tubing. I think we only paid $75-$100 for the darn thing and now I've sunk more into it than what I paid. But it was cheaper than buying a new one I guess.

Yep, check the fuse box. Ours spun but the air was cool, not hot. Cheap repair :)
