View Full Version : How do I blur a background?

I'm trying to get my pictures of the past month in an album, but some need to have the backgrounds blurred while keeping the foreground in focus. Like this one:

Any ideas? I have MS PhotoDraw as well as Adobe PhotoShop.

Oh those girls are so sweet! The baby looks darling! ...now on to the blurring, when I used Photoshop, I would use the eraser tool to blur the background.

here is an edited pic--- it is hard to blue the background imo, easier just to replace it. I use the magic wand and select the pic and then create a layer and add a background to the new layer. i also usually shadow the pic, so it doesnt look seperaate from the background, since you usually cut out the shadows.

How's this? This was just a quick try, I can get it more exact if you want. Do you use Adobe?
