I know there has got to be a good chewy granola bar recipe that is not just "add honey to store bought granola." Do any of you make these? DH & DD both love them, but I cannot afford to buy the all natural ones from the HFS.
Anyone want to share? :D

Chewy Granola Bars
4 1/2 c. rolled oats
1 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 c butter (can use 1/2 peanut butter)
1 c honey
1/3 c brown sugar
2 c add-ins (choc chips, sunflower seeds, raisins, nuts)
Preheat oven to 325. Lightly grease 9x13 inch pan. In large mixing bowl combine oats, flour, baking soda, vanilla, butter, honey and brown sugar. Make sure it is well combined and gooey. Stir in add-ins. Lightly press mixture into pan. Bake 18 - 22 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes, then cool completely bfore removing.
This is the only recipe I have had luck with and I have tried many. All of the others crumble apart after cutting them into bars. Enjoy!
