What is the purpose of this option and why do some pm's have it and others do not? thanks ladies. Holly.

When you click that, it shows the pm as "unread" to the sender. It's only on the pm you receive if the sender doesn't deselect the option when she sends the pm. I usually deselect that option, unless I forget. HTH :)

Actually, if you click deny reciept it just disappears from the senders tracking - it doesn't keep showing as unread.

Some people use it if they can't respond right away and don't want the person to know that they did indeed read it--the sender might think they are being ignored etc.
