Went thriftin the other day cause I was looking for a few things. Didnt find what i was looking for,but....

I got a gorgeous bed for my 6 yr old. Looks new. Pine canopy w/heart cut-out. 3 drawers underneath, lavendar curtains. Matches her playstove & goes with a heart cut-out rocking chair my dh bought for the oldest when I was pregnant with our second child. It wasnt what I had in mind for her room, but it is so sweet & I couldnt pass it up - and it just works with everything else. YAY! She might even sleep in her own room now

I got a lot of wool yarn (and a few other yarns) - $1.50 for 3 skeins.

My dd has been watching too much TV - she has been begging for the darn Cheer video on commercials. Wants to be a cheerleader  Well, I wasnt gonna get it for her, but we found it for 50 cents LOL So, that & a pr of pom-poms will be part of her b-day present next month. She'll be over the moon!

we got a few other things, books for the older kids, mary engelbreit diary for the 6 yr old,more.....

That's awesome! I'm jealous of the bed score for sure! Drawers and everything.... man oh man!

We don't have any good thrift stores here, BUT... I did go garage saleing, and got 6 pairs of all cotton ec Gap pj's for Logan, 9 pairs of vgc socks (he was in desperate need of socks - I just kept forgetting to pick them up at the store) a pair of denim shorts for Logan, a pair of jeans for Logan, 5 AWESOME board books (very homeschoolish), a small new condition wooden car, and a complete set of wood letter/number blocks!

Oh yeah, and before I tell you how much ALL of this cost, I also got some ec Buzz Lightyear books and Woody figure that I sent out as extra's in a swap package today.

For $10!!!

I just wish there had been something cool for Devin. Have you ever noticed the older they get the harder it is to garage sale, thrift shop for?

Ooh! Great deal on the yardsaling!

I do definitely find it harder to find stuff for the kids as they get older. Dd has been getting harder & harder, and now that she is 13, its REALLY hard! But we just seem to have such great luck whenver we go! There was so much more that I really wanted to get, but held off on (vintage fabric, TONS more wool yarn, etc).

Dd is in her bed with the baby right now, pretending it is Cinderella's carriage (cause of the curtains) How cool is that? I am SO stoked! LOL! The room looks so sweet now - I cant wait til we move! I am taking a lazuring workshop in a week, its gonna be so cool to paint her room. (I'm totally a theme kinda person & obsess with the whole idea of a room til it is finished LOL)

Have I mentioned I love thrifting??? LOL
