Thought I should intro myself also b/c I keep finding myself coming here more and more. Its so nice to find somewhere like this! And everyone has such fresh ideas too!

Anyway -- I'm mom to two kiddos 8 & 11. Married to dh and working REALLY hard on getting finances together. So far we've managed to pay off almost all our credit cards and we do NOT use them at all.

I'm focusing on living simply (or simpler!) and decluttering.

DH & I are working on the same thing - I took our credit cards OUT of our wallets, put them in the desk (so we can't impulse buy ;) ) and we are trying hard to get them paid off. It was SO nice last weekend when he had to drive my car back from his parents (we just got it, it's a 1990, and fil didn't think it would survive the 4 hour drive haha) that I could give him a credit card and say, if anything goes wrong, you can use this. Just to have it for an emergency was such a relief - we've never been able to do that before.

I love this forum, too, the ladies are so helpful and supportive. It's helped inspired me! :D
