This was a beautifully written novel. It's such a delight to read a novel that unfolds so nicely and also has such wonderful lessons to teach. I picked it up after listening to an interview with the author on one of our local public radio shows.
Most of the book revolves around what's happening in Germany from post-WWI to post WWII. So there are many heartrending parts.
I'm not sure how to describe it more without giving away plot stuff - obviously I'd never be a good book reviewer - but I would give it two :thumbsup: :thumbsup: .
