Just curious if it really works. I plan to try it for our trip to Brazil, and I need to get some soon, as you need to supposedly take it for 2 weeks for the unpleasant odor to build up in your system.

I've heard people say take vitamin b's but didn't know it was just one. Unsure if it actually works but garlic does! Eat lots of garlic during your trip (every meal) and if you want to use a natural repellent, get a very smelly citronella lotion (they work better than sprays). (Some of them really stink too!)

Jake seems prone to bites unless I give him a liquid B complex that includes B1. I have noticed when he gets it regularly he will stop being the only one getting bitten when no one else is! It definitely seems to help.

I recently read that essential oil of catnip is just as effective as DEET as an insect repelent.
